Domain Names
Every website must have a unique name in order for a user to access it. Domain names are issued on a first come first served basis so it’s best to register your name sooner rather than later. Like computer files, domain names end with an extension (.***). These extensions are known as Top Level Domains. The most widely recognized Top Level Domains are .com and .co.uk and if your name is available as one of these formats it is recommended that you go for this. However there are now many more Top Level Domains available such as .org, .biz and .info. Your domain name also doubles up as your e-mail address which means that if you were to register the name ‘mydomain.co.uk’ you would also be able to use any email address that ends in ‘mydomain.co.uk’, for example sales@mydomain.co.uk, info@mydomain.co.uk etc.
